Tips and Advices:

  • The max charge of your PEV is 4.2 * the number of Series

    • For Example. A 72v battery is 20s

    • 4.2*20 = 84v

    • Utilize the variable voltage choice and charge only to 50-60% when storing your battery or if 100% is not needed.

    • For Example: 72v battery is max 84v. If im storing it i will charge it to about 72-75v at max.

  • Avoid keeping batteries at 100% for long periods of no use.

  • It's ideal in most cases not to go above 10A to prolong the life of your battery, please see your battery specs to see the real max amperage you can use to charge it.

  • Charging Fast = Fast results. But Charging Fast frequently = faster deterioration of battery. Practice slow charging when able to let cells balance and less heat inducing.

  • Charging immediately after finishing a ride is also not recommended. Wait for about 15-20mins before plugging in to let the battery idle the temperature levels.
